Solustiq, a pioneering Turkish software and artificial intelligence company, has positioned itself as the nation’s first vertical AI company tailored specifically for the global travel and tourism sector. Based in Edirne, with additional offices in Istanbul and Dubai, Solustiq is developing a specialized AI infrastructure designed to fill a longstanding gap in the world’s largest service industry, which contributes over $11 trillion to global GDP and employs one in ten workers worldwide. Despite its significant economic impact, the travel and tourism industry has been slow to adopt modern technology solutions, prompting Solustiq to focus on creating AI products that cater to the unique workflows, data structures, and regulatory environments of this sector.

Alper Tekin, the Founder and CEO of Solustiq, emphasizes the need for industry-specific AI solutions, stating, “The travel industry doesn’t need another general-purpose chatbot. It needs AI that understands GDS systems, hotel inventory APIs, regulatory frameworks like TURSAB, and the operational rhythm of a tour operator at 3 a.m. when a flight gets cancelled.” To address these needs, Solustiq has developed a portfolio of AI-native products, each targeting a specific layer of the travel technology stack. These include DataGreat, an AI market intelligence platform with over 38 specialized modules, SkilledAgents, a no-code platform for building AI agents, VibePy, an AI code generation engine, and Vuln0x, an AI penetration testing platform.

Demonstrating its commitment to vertical AI, Solustiq leverages its sister operation, Safaryar Holidays, a TURSAB-licensed B2B hotel wholesaler and destination management company based in Istanbul. This collaboration serves as both a customer and a testing ground for Solustiq’s platform, providing the real-world feedback necessary for refining its AI tools. Additionally, Solustiq manages a portfolio of over 90 travel-related domains, including hagiasophia.com and galatatower.com, which serve as content and distribution channels for its AI-generated travel insights.

Tekin identifies three key forces driving the adoption of vertical AI in travel by 2026. These include the unbundling of legacy GDS oligopolies such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport by emerging AI-native infrastructure providers, the shift in “build vs. buy” economics allowing smaller travel agencies to deploy AI agents affordably, and regulatory changes in the EU and Turkey, like Turkey’s Cybersecurity Law 7545, which mandate modernization of the travel sector’s infrastructure. Tekin asserts, “We’re not asking the travel industry to adopt AI. We’re asking it to choose between vertical AI built by people who understand the industry, or horizontal AI built by people who don’t. We think that’s a much easier conversation.”

Solustiq, officially known as Solustiq Yazılım ve Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri A.Ş., was founded by Alper Tekin, who also manages TURSAB-licensed B2B travel operations through Safaryar Holidays. With its strategic focus on vertical AI, Solustiq is poised to offer innovative solutions that enhance the travel and tourism industry, bridging the gap between traditional practices and modern technological advancements.
