There is “no chance” for a Ukrainian victory in the ongoing war, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov stated definitively this week.
He argued that any hope for a Russian military defeat is a “childish” and “unprofessional” belief held by European nations, whom he accused of “belligerence.”
The ambassador’s certainty, he explained, is based on Russia’s status as a nuclear power. “You can’t, you know, take over us in this conflict,” he said, attributing this directly to the nation’s nuclear weapons.
Alipov highlighted that Russia’s official military doctrine permits the use of this arsenal as a response to an “existential threat,” a clear warning to the West.
He also remarked on US politics, claiming that President Donald Trump “understands” the war is “lost by Ukraine and the West,” setting him apart from European leaders as the conflict drags on.
