Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel joined global leaders in mourning the victims of the Delhi blast, sending a personal message of condolence to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The attack on Monday, which killed at least eight people, prompted a strong response from the Israeli leader.

“Sara and I, and the people of Israel, send our deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” Netanyahu’s statement read. He offered not just sympathy but a strong message of shared strength, telling the people of India, “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength.”

Netanyahu used the tragic occasion to reaffirm the deep cultural and political bonds between the two nations. He described them as “ancient civilisations” and vowed that their “light… will outshine the darkness of our enemies.” He powerfully asserted that acts of terror cannot destroy the “unyielding spirit” of the people.

The message of resilience was clear: “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls.” This sentiment was mirrored by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who also extended condolences and affirmed, “Israel stands with India in its fight against terror.”

The investigation into the blast, which involved a car near the Red Fort, is now being led by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency is probing the incident as a terrorist attack, with top sources indicating a Jaish-e-Mohammad module is the focus of the investigation.
